We came across this adorable house today when we searched for some inspiration—it has a classical form and is bright, light , airy and youthful with some fun colors and funky collections. This house is an exquisite 1890 Victorian with adorned exterior, period molding, and original brickwork in San Francisco . It is owned by candy store co-owner Alan Ledford. Let’s take a home tour of some of our favorite spaces.
The entry of this house is probably our most favorite one. We love all-white paint cover all of the walls, moldings to modernize and quiet down this original ornate Victorian home. The mirror and that little wooden drawer floating console are such a cool combo. And yes, fresh flowers right here in the entry are a little sweet surprise for guests and they enliven the entry too.
The white paint doesn’t continue in the living room. Rather, it is a green with a mint–toned paint. This is exactly why we love this house—not so matchy matchy, but still have a thread through the whole house. With an open floor plan, this mint-toned paint still makes the room feel light and bright . We also love how these mid-century modern furnishings create a nice contrast with Victorian moldings.
This is such a neat kitchen. We love how designer adds some wood-toned cabinetry to bring in warmth.
This is such a party-ready dining area. We love the wooden mid-century dining table set with industrial chandelier hanging above. The teal traditional area rug underneath brings in a touch of sophistication. The oversized abstract artwork on the wall inject energy and movement to this dining room.
Now you probably can guess what is owner’s favorite color. Yes, it is green. We love the idea to paint the ceiling, all trim works and bookshelves in a same green paint color. It make the space feel very cozy and moody.
Owner’s favorite green color continues in the drapery panels in the master bedroom. and again, there is mint-toned light and bright green paint on the walls. We love the details on the Victoria mantle, the leather headboard and soothing white linen bedding.
