We all need a little bit inspiration with the current pandemic situation. Today we will take you to a gorgeous modernized Spanish colonial house in West Hollywood and it is filled with amazing art and color. This beautiful home is owned by music and fashion industry veteran Kent Belden and husband Dr. Louis Re and designed by AD 100 Brigette Romanek. We first met Barigette in one of the seminars she spoke on design week in PDC. She is such a warm, nice, approachable elegant lady and her design is often vibrant, fashion-forward and unexpected. Here are some of our highlights from the house.
There is a surprise vibe by the entry. we love how earthy Mexican riles juxtapose with a gray blueish contemporary art and blue sleek modern furniture. And pattern and color on the pillow add more excitement and feminine feel to make this entry inviting and welcoming.
We love this bright white wall paint through the whole house which creates such a perfect backdrop for owners’ contemporary art collections and vibrant unique furniture. We are really like how these two bright yellow channeled modern chairs sitting on a bubble-gum pink rug and the gray and neutral tones on the rest of furnishings really pull back to showcase this amazing color palette. The mood here is bright, pleasant yet stays calming at the same time.
Here at the breakfast nook, we love how vintage furnishings in earthy hues play off the modern composition of a David Hockney painting. The green color in the painting enlivens this corner space.
The idea that allows a leather daybed dominates this study room is really out-of-the-box.
We love the compact design of this small kitchen.
We love the color palette of blush, classic Blue and green. It is dreamy, romantic and fresh.
Outdoor living space is always our favorite part. A long rectangular wooden table is becoming popular in the outdoor spaces and it hosts a lot of people and also display beautiful fresh flowers in the everyday life.
Black-and-white striped outdoor plush lounge chairs add a statement modern vibe to this country-like outdoor fireplace area.
