Tour A Nashville Home With Collected Interiors That Honor The Past

It is fun to live in a home that is full of stories and balance well with the current and past. Today we are going to tour a Nashville home that has collected interiors and honors the past.

Living Room

This is the first image that we came across with. We love Schumacher’s earthy-tone velvet on the curved bench seat–rich, inviting and warm while still having kinds of minimalism vibes. The mix-and-match of vintage and contemporary artworks on the white wall are so fresh and interesting. And of course, we love the checkered marble flooring in such a muted color palette.

In the living room of this Nashville home, designer Rachel Halvorson paired Hickory Chair’s Bistro banquette with a vintage club chair in green mohair from Illuminati Antiques in Houston. Flanked by a duo of midcentury brass lamps from Garden Variety Design, a mixed-media piece by Raleigh artist Jason Craighead joins a Bobby McAlpine-designed ottoman by Lee Industries and a walnut cocktail table from Atlanta’s Holland MacRae.

Here is another great example on how to mix and match different styles –the abstract artwork on he wall, the brass floor lamps, the old-school wood chair and a mid-century reading chair all together create a cozy conversation zone.

Master Bedroom

We love the soothing color palette in this bedroom. The olive green adds such an elegance vibe to the space.

Hallway

It is such a dream just to walk through this peaceful hallway and just enjoy some sunshine and artworks.

Den

n the den, an L-shaped Lee Industries sectional creates a cozy niche in front of Shaker-style paneling by Custom Cabinetworks. Plush pillows in a mix of motifs—among them, Zak+Fox’s Cloudband cotton-linen and a Ralph Lauren for Kravet tartan—boost the room’s cozy quotient while Kelly Wearstler’s Alta table lamps for Visual Comfort & Co. enhance its masculine mood.

The cozy den is cocooned with dark walnut panelings while the white sectional create a nice contrast and makes the space feel expansive.
