We are first attracted by this house because of its color scheme and then the cool textiles and iconic furniture. The town house is owned by textile scion Ashley Stark Kenner and her husband Nick, founder and CEO of Just Salad. The landmarked 19th-century building had a lot going for it—generous dimensions, a deep backyard, and, a rarity among town houses, lots of light. But at their first meeting with New York–based Lichten Architects, talk quickly shifted to “gut renovation.” Here are our favorites after the renovation.
Living Room

We love the laid-back feel in this living room. The vintage mirror, ornate mantle and pink & purple flowers bring in a sense of sophistication and classicism to this light-filled living room. The curved sofa, the round coffee table soften the space and relax whoever just enters this room.

This living room bar is such a killer. The reserved palette continues here to create a very soothing atmosphere for people to chill out here.

Dornbracht, and chairs from Mecox.

The wicker dining chairs add organic and natural element to the space to make this kitchen/eat-in space warm and inviting.

Who wouldn’t love to have a glamorous walk-in closet? The brass hardware on the island and closet doors add a touch of glamor to the space.

We love this cozy grey and dark blue library enveloped–moody, romantic and handsome.

The grey-on-grey scheme in this master bedroom is elegant and calming. It is always such a great idea to have a corner chaise or sectional to wind down after a long day.
