Color and shape often impact how we feel about a space. As we are spending more and more time at home, the feel that home gives to us does matter. Today we are going to tour a gorgeous Victorian home with a cool vibe thanks to its color palette and playful geometric shapes. Here are our favorites.
This is the week we celebrate patriotic colors of red, blue and white at home. Today we are going to focus on blue. Blue is probably the most favorite color by people globally. There’s a reason we think of blue as relaxing: it actually tends to lower our heart rates, blood pressure, and even our body temperature. Studies of memory have demonstrated that memory is enhanced by blue light and blue light can even kill some bacteria. Blue often represents :trustworthy, dependable, tranquil, peaceful, calming. Here are 3 of our favorite blue paint colors this year:

The weekend hiking is always such a get-away for us particularly after we had hiked and camped so long in our backyard during this pandemic crisis. Well, it is also good to see people start to appreciate more nature and really focus on their well being. We have never seen the trails are packed with so many crowds before by the beaches, in the mountains and deep in the forests and parks. We human beings always feel good when we are close to nature. And we often find stunning colors and scenery that make us super excited when we explore nature.
We have a tradition for every New Year’s Day. Yes, we will go to beach to enjoy some sunshine , to be close to the ocean to feel its abundance and greatness. Ocean has a magic power that always calm us and show us there are actually tremendous opportunities and hopes out there in the world. And the most important thing ocean teaches us is to be kind, generous and tolenrant from those who are different from you.
Toast to 2020!
It’s a beautiful day!
The view on the patio is stunning.
I really enjoy this warm beach day.
Yes, we are in famous Japanese Nobu restaurant in Malibu.
Malibu is a city west of Los Angeles, California. It’s known for its celebrity homes and beaches, including wide and sandy Zuma Beach. To the east is Malibu Lagoon State Beach, known as Surfrider Beach for its waves. Nearby is the Spanish Revival–style Adamson House decorated with historical California hand-made tiles. Malibu is such a lovely beach town in SoCal with pretty relaxing vibes. Our trip this time is to visit Nobu, relax at its breath-taking beach-view porch, take a walk on the pier and just stroll around the town.

Nobu, Malibu is Iron Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Japanese delicacies, plus California fare, in a modern, beachfront space. “Originally opening in the Malibu Country Mart in 1999 as the fourth Nobu location in the United States, Nobu Malibu moved to it’s current location in 2012. The views of the ocean from nearly every seat in the restaurant, as well as Malibu-specific specialty dishes in addition to all of the Nobu classics, make this a destination dining experience not to be missed.” We have been too Nobu restaurant and hotel in Las Vegas. I will say Nobu Malibu has more relaxing beach get-away vibes while the Las Vegas one gears more toward high-caliber clubbing experiences. Each restaurant has their specialities. But one dish we like from both locations is Black Cod Miso. You’ve got to order it if you have a chance to visit.

Known for its five-star cuisine and decadent Japanese-inspired interiors, you’re likely to spot a Kardashian at this California go-to. The LA-based sushi bar is such a celebrity staple, it’s even name-dropped in three Drake songs and a Kanye track. That said, the opening of their luxury hotel Nobu Ryokan Malibu is bound to attract a star-studded guest list. We didn’t get a chance to visit the hotel this time since it is guests-only(maybe next time). But I found an article from Elle Decor talking about this newly opened 5-star hotel.
Overlooking Carbon Beach along the Pacific Coast Highway, the lodge draws from the area’s laidback California style while boasting Nobu’s signature Japanese design. The building’s original structure was a 1950’s beach motel, which architects Studio PCH and Montalba Architects have dramatically transformed. Each guest room has its own unique interior design, all incorporating teak, bronze, and limestone to maintain a calming neutral color palette throughout. Hi, guys, it looks like that we have only one day left to ThanksGiving. And it is raining here in Los Angele and continue to rain tomorrow. So today we are going to continue our Gift Guides 2019 Part II and share some of our favorites on Table-tops and decor.
Here is the recent powder room we did for the Orange County Hill house. Different from super contemporary entry, we create more traditional vibes for this powder room to give that warmth and inviting feel. The crisp contrast between blue and white and touch of brass on the hardwares make the space so elegant, light and airy with a right dose of glamour.
