The neutral color palette in the residential design will still dominate the year of 2021. We are drawn to the soothing and calming neutral color palette in this newly renovated San Francisco home which provides a perfect backdrop to showcase the breathtaking lush views outside of the window. The attention to detail, the contour touches, the well-made custom furnishings and the artwork collections truly help elevate this Francisco home in an understated way.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. As we planned, we did a hike over the Thanksgiving weekend. We were so lucky that the weather was nice for this year’s Thanksgiving weekend–sunny and warm. And the air is crisp and clean too.
We came across this beautiful home by designer Alexandra Kaehler when we search some inspiration from internet. This is actually her own home. We love the sophisticated interiors with a livable vibe by bringing in colors, floral prints and amazing wallpaper. Here are some of our favorite highlights.
We are impressed by how the design team transformed this 1980s Georgian-style home with high glamor and edge while keeping its classical bone. The house was originally designed by local architect Paul Turney and built to such a high level. So the design team decided just to add new flooring and windows with larger panes, an iron stair rail in lieu of a more traditional wooden version, and a stone surround for the front door rather than tearing down the original structure. Other changes include opening up the kitchen and incorporating an adjacent family room, reconfiguring the master bathroom and adding a covered back patio for easier outdoor living. Here are highlights of our favorite spaces. Let’s take a tour together.
If you, just like me, feel a need to reinvent your interiors every couple of years without a big construction work, please re-think about your walls. Here are 5 designer wall covering ideas to change your living space like a magic wander in a second.
Fresh up your walls with a new on- the -trend paint. You know every year Pantone and other major paint companies will introduce their color of the year. But do you know in order to figure out what is their color of the year, they have to travel thousands of miles, explore different cultures, participate countless trade shows and host many, many brain-storm meetings because everything is connected and color often reflects what people and society think, love and what drive and inspire them. Have you ever had an experience when you wake up in the morning, you are really in the mood for that pink dress or that blue tie. Yes just like that, that particular color of the year from Pantone and other major paint companies make us feel fresh, excited and inspiring in that particular year. What’s more fun is that the color of the year often come with different shades, undertones and paired with unexpected colors.
Yes, I just feel happy by wearing Pantone Color of the Year 2019–Live Coral
