  1. Design the space as a whole rather than a single room.  Therefore, you are able to arrange everything in a open space, mind  the work flow and leverage the every possible space for your dining area.

Elegance is in the details— the subtle shades of pink, lilac, yellow,  the craftmanship on the carvings, the finish of the wood surface , the sophistication of each object and the way how they relate to each other.  When we finally put these together, it is a big wow to the client.

It’s right middle of the week. I am looking for something that can cheer me up.  Then I saw this design we did recently. Something in this photo makes me feel soft.  Maybe it’s a group of pastel-colored pillows on the banquette. Here are 5 ways to create formal, elegant yet relaxing dining room.

  1. Have a neutral color palette with pop of pastel on the ceiling.
  2. Install ceiling-to-the-floor drapery.
  3. Mix formal with cozy.  For example, we mix very formal mahogany dining table with this lay-back banquette.
  4. Modern flower arrangement and candles light up this traditional room.
  5. Modern chandelier also adds a touch of freshness to this dining room

The client wanted low-tone yet glamours atmosphere for her dining room. There are 5 steps we took to achieve the goal:

  1. Painted the whole room in blue-gray color to create low-key backdrop for the future furnishings.
  2. Installed brown-crystal chandelier to play the low-tone.
  3. Gold-leafed peripheral of the focal wall.
  4. Stenciled roses in the notch of the focal wall to create whimsical feeling.
