7 Rooms that Use Stools to Elevate Their Decor

Do you ever  have that moment that you find yourself really stuck in the middle of  your room furnishing project and just cannot go anywhere. Sometimes, you may need a magic piece and most of occasion, I find that a stool truly can do a wonder by adding textures, patterns and colors to the space and make it sing. Let’s take a look at some examples:

There is always a  balance for a good room design. A feminine room will stay timeless with some masculine elements. Here are 5 room that incorporate a good balance between Yan and Yan.

This clean-lined, almost monochromic  dining room maybe is the best place to unwind and reflect. The light-blue  candles and a touch of mini fresh flower arrangement  create the vibes of optimistic and being present.

It is always a good idea to create some vignettes at home since they create different moods. This unfussy one above  is kind of Zen-like–simple yet sophisticated and reminds us of being  the moment.

A Day of Traveling Part II

We just had another big earth quick last night in SoCal after the 6.4 one on 4th July! It is 7.1!  Send love and prayer to people who are affected seriously. And I followed Dr. Lucy Jones from CalTech last night the whole night for her analysis on what’s going on. Somehow, listening to her gives me a sense of peace.

Well, when natural disasters happen, we know we need to appreciate all of the beautiful things around us more.  So, guys, let’s continue our Day of Traveling—Part II. There are a lot of beautiful photos for the modern classic interiors I caught during the trip, so it’s time to  sit back and relax.

Arte-decor clubbing house.  The geometric black-and-white rug does the wander for this room. And of course, the brown leather tufted mid-century chairs, the fireplace and wooden wall panelings add the layer of old school traditions  and bring the stories and warmth to the space.

Sneak Peek of a Room Make-Over

It’s Monday again. Luckily, the temperature in LA lowers 10 degree.  It’s only 90 degree.  I know.   But if you head the news, LA was over 100 degree over the weekend. It was kind of crazy.  Since today’s weather is better, I am in the mood to post something nice.  We are in the middle of finishing this room make-over. The details will follow. Here is the sneak peek.

The Romance of Air, Light and Beautiful Things

10649599_10203878482476962_2460452293232421521_n

Tasks on Monday always include scheduling the whole week. I like to rise up earlier and do some readings to get inspired.   This will be the perfect room for me on Monday mornings.  The serene color palette of pale lavender, peach and warm grey calms me down.  The stipe wallpaper makes me feel organized and uncluttered. The bright fresh flowers and the blue chandelier sparkle my imagination and make me feel excited and joyful.  Well, what I enjoy most is this airy and natural light-filled atmosphere.   What other places I want to be at this moment?
