Mood-board of the Day—a modern glam entryway that features with a clean-lined modern classical console table, a group of Chinoiserie hand-painted vases, a pair of crystal table lamps and an oversized artwork.
The entry is where your guests get the first impression of your home and who you are. So, why not to take some bold decisions to make it dramatic and wow everybody! Today we are going to share 21 of our favorite glam entryways.
Pair antiques with modern pieces to create a fresh and timeless entry silhouette.
We are having fun mixing things up in the entry. From blue-and-white chinoiserie vases to hand-made fluted plaster modern vase to custom-made lampshade. This is the first place to greet you when you are home and also the first place to wow your guests ( we are going to visit each other soon). So go bold, go drama.
Entry is often the first place where your guests get first impression of your personality, style and taste. Plus a well-styled entry welcomes you with a big hug love and let you leave all of the chaos you experience during the day outside. So there is no reason that you don’t want to spend some energy to make it nice even though yours might be just a small area. So today we are going to share 5 ideas to refresh up your entry with the drama.
Hang a mirror at the end or side of the entrance can reflect more light and make it feel more expansive.
Today we continue Things We Love series. If you haven’t read our series 1, you can click here to learn more. At this pandemic time, it has never been so important to create a home we can truly enjoy and appreciate, a home that is calming and energizing us at the same time. The color of July is bright red. Heavy on the chroma and attitude, the color of bright red is exactly what the world needs to keep moving forward. It is the classic in fashion and definitely can add excitement to an interior space, or exterior for that matter, with the warmth of its undertone. We particularly love the idea to add a splash of bright color at an entry. A bright red decorated entry is filled with symbolism including entry to happiness and good fortune, as a portal of welcome, and signaling a place of nourishment and safe haven.
Fall decor is all about layers and colors. So I feel it is an exciting season to create something fresh, warm and inviting in the chilled weather. At the end of the day, we all love to come back a beautiful home and rest well. Plus, as we all know, the holiday season is approaching. So we can always start somewhere to make some changes. Since we are on the way to wrap our hill project in Orange county, I am going to talk about fall decor we incorporated for the entry.
As you can see the house has a white crisp and clean-lined walls and ceilings and they are providing the perfect backdrop for the bold abstract artwork and jewel-tone decor objects. Here are 3 ways that we create this fall decor:
Mix-and-match: The modernized regency dark walnut center table is such a nice contrast with the white contemporary architecture. The bold abstract art is toned down a little bit by the classical blue-striped wallpaper making the space more livable.
A touch of gold: The brass mid-century chandelier and brass candle holders on the center table add a touch of glamor to the space.
Use upholstered pieces: The Upholstered screen and ottomans soften the contemporary entry.
Have some signature seasonal pieces: Yes, velvet pumpkins with our favorite fall colors indicate it is about time to celebrate the harvesting.
A cozy seating zone at the entry of home, for sure, will make your guests feel inviting. Plus, today is #NationalWineDrinkDay. It should be a perfect place to chill a little bit once you come back home and open the door. Here are 4 ways to create a stylish entry.
A couple of mini-chairs or a bench to create a cozy seating area.
Have a piece of your favorite artwork on the entry wall to show off your taste.
Have a plush area rug with a big pattern to add a touch of drama.
