With closing down of state and county parks, beach fronts in California , once again, we will have to spend more time in our home. The human nature is that the longer you stay in one place, the more you start to focus on every details. And that may drive you crazy. Our experience is that maybe it is time for you to do something. Rather than just staring at something that is not pleasing to the eye, do something about it–de-cluttering, re-organizing and creating something beautiful. So at the end of the day, you can at least take a break and enjoy your labor fruits. Read on to learn how bring more fun to your family room in style.
1. Take advantage of your view if you are lucky to have one.

Please, please free up your space in front of your windows or your patio door if you happen to have a view of a beautiful garden, a meadow, magical mountains, breath-taking ocean or deep green forest. In the photo above, we love how the blue velvet sofa sits against a wall and oversees the outdoor view. The trick here is those two striped upholstered X-benches. They will not block your outdoor views. Rather, they provide flexible seating options.

2. Have a corner table setup

One of benefits of having a corner table-set up in your family room is that it is able to use the dead space in the corner and creates a new activity zone (such as game table)for the whole family. You know we all have that feeling when we sit around a table in Starbucks and we intend to be able to focus on our reading or our work although it is pretty noisy in the surroundings. And fun part is that you can add your own decor style and personality.
