Probably at this strange time, the best getaway for some of us is a beautifully landscaped home garden. I came across some stunning home gardens when I browsed internet today and would love to share 9 of them that we fall in love with.
We love to see how lemon trees, olive trees, agave, other greenery and flowers add texture and color in these gardens.

2020 is marked 50th year of anniversary of Earth Day. This is a day that we demonstrate support for environmental protection.
From beautiful cherry blossoms, breath-taking mountain views to dreamy gardens and houses, we all know that what touch our heart deeply are the gifts and blessings from Mother Nature.
We came across some amazing Earth day posts in our Ins feed this morning and would love to share you guys here on our blog.
We came across an article this morning about Elle Decor Cafe 2020 in Plaza Hotel New York and immediately fell in love with the unique decor that is modern, youthful, feminine and chic yet still keeping a old-world charm. Not surprisingly, the make-over design work is by renowned interior designer Sasha Bikoff whose design, in our opinion, is very UN-American—out-of-box, playful, chic and romantic in a very lady-like way. Since today is Friday, we want to talk about the design of this pretty cafe and hope to bring some weekend cheers to you.
The ELLE Decor Café at the Plaza is located at the famed Rose Club, which was once a popular venue for entertainers like Billie Holiday, Bob Hope, Liza Minnelli, and Kay Thompson. Along with showcasing her passion for energetic, global-inspired interiors, Bikoff reimagined the iconic space to reflect its rich jazz roots.
1. color Palette: “Since the Plaza is such a happy, colorful, monumental place, it was really important that I used a light color. We did have these more traditional jewel tones, but I wanted to brighten up the space with pink and lavender to balance all of the wood paneling. One really wonderful thing is that the ceiling lights can turn purple, so it worked out perfectly that I had a fabric that was red (a connection to the Rose Club) and lavender (a connection to the lights on the ceiling).”—Sasha Bikoff
a happy place to chill
We love the interplay between pink and rouge to create such a happy and romantic atmosphere.

2. Mix old-world charm architecture with modern furniture to create a fun and timeless moment.
The modern furniture injects a very youthful energy to this historical club.chic marble cocktail table with a metal frame.Stylish bar chairs pairing with an ornate bar counter create a very fresh feel.
We love to stroll around the Art District and DTLA over the weekends just to explore the emerging things on art and design.
One of the fun things to do is to walk along the long long exhibition hall filled with nature light. They did a very good job to to have some faux fur on these white wicker chairs and sofas. It’s so warm and inviting. There are some greenery and pretty awesome lighting fixtures, too. Here is the close-up of the sofa. Here is the close-up of the chair. Here is the close-up of the chair. Here is the close-up of the chair.

We often dine in Nomad Hotel LA. So, for this Las Vegas Winter Market trip 2020, we really want to check out Nomad Hotel Las Vegas since it is just in MGM Park and we are always drawn to Parisian design. And yes, we were not disappointed. In 2016, when MGM Resorts International announced the $550 million renovation and rebranding of the Monte Carlo Hotel, it simultaneously revealed the opening of a 239-room boutique hotel on the upper four floors of the newly rebranded Park MGM Las Vegas. It would be the third location of the luxurious NoMad hotel chain, complementing its existing portfolio of New York and Los Angeles properties.
This hotels-within-hotels idea is actually quite common for many major Vegas hotspots — you can find a Four Seasons hidden within the massive Mandalay Bay resort, or the trendy Nobu Hotel residing on the upper floors of Caesars Palace. These “secret” hotels present an exciting option for Vegas travelers, since there’s typically nothing boutique about the massive, glitzy casino resorts lining the Strip.
Designed by French architect and designer Jacques Garcia, each of the 293 rooms and suites at NoMad Las Vegas are residential in feel and decorated in his timeless style with a distinct New York sensibility. Jacques Garcia, (born 25 September 1947) is a Frencharchitect,[1]interior designer and garden designer, best known for his contemporary interiors of Parishotels and restaurants. Each room is appointed with custom furnishings, original artwork curated by Paris-based design studio be-poles, Bellino linens, and large flat screen TVs. Many rooms also feature freestanding pedestal bathtubs and separate water closets. Today we will only focus on the public area.
The NoMad’s lobby had a dark, moody ambience to it. The atmosphere throughout all public spaces maintained an Old World, refined sense of luxury that seemed rather unique in a city like Las Vegas.
Vegas never shines away from bounty fresh flower arrangements.

we know that a beautiful tabletop always makes any event so sweet, memorable and vibrant, not even mentioning prestigious academy events like Golden Globe. The design of the tabletop at 77th Golden Globe is chic, modern with a touch of signature Hollywood glamor—roses and Champaign.
The all-white dinner set choice, for sure, keeps all of the possible chaoes and fusses into the minimum while providing calming and clean backdrop for the beautifully arranged two-tone rose centerpieces, also, I believe, the smiles of the star guests.
Well, Beyonce’s gown really looks good with those bright orange and yellow roses.
Celebrity florist Mark’s Garden is behind the floral designs for this year’s show, and the California-based business flew in more than 10,000 blooms from Ecuador and Italy for the ceremony. The flowers, which have vibrant orange and yellow hues, add a pop of color to the dozens of tables inside the ballroom.
Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2009 , Moët & Chandon Impérial cocktails, Lindt chocolatés boxes and Icelandic Glacial naturally alkaline spring water on each table
So, learning lesson here to set up a beautiful tabletop in a crowded and busy moment is with a simple table setting. Plus, it is the beginning of the year, you probably want to refresh your table with a minimal effort. White is the easiest color to style – its classic, calm and never goes out of fashion. That’s why every stylish table needs a crisp white tableware collection that’s highly versatile.

We blogged that Benjamin Moore’s color of the year 2020–First Light, if you haven’t read our blog, please click here to read And we think the color is pretty neutral yet moody and can be an elegant backdrop for any interiors. In Orange County Hill Project, we painted Client’s guest bedroom in kind of similar pink color—neutral yet elegant and sophiticated:

The light warm pink create such a dreamy atmosphere. The tufted bed headboard adds depth and interest to the space while the 2 of brass pendants anchor the bedroom and champaign nightstands lend a touch of sophistication. Artwork for sure is the soul of the room. This is a soothe and delicate place place where guests can relax well.
Wouldn’t be nice we have this long weekend holiday and it’s in May. It’s such a beautiful season to pamper ourselves with all of Spring beauties. My favorite are always about blue-and-whites, greenery, pink blooms, gardens, sunshine, fresh air… How about you? How are you going to celebrate MemorialLong-weekend?
Chinese New Year is going to be Feb 16th. And we are brainstorming a special tabletop for both V day and Chinese New Year celebration. It’s going to a very feminine, romantic yet a cheerful color-palette theme incorporating Pantone Ultra Violet, vintage pink, some chinoiserie components. And of course a lot of fresh roses. Please stay tuned with us.
