Home For Holidays Moodboard Series 2021—Modern Chic Living Room

Today, we continue to share our shoppable Home For Holidays Moodboard featuring a modern chic living room. The year of 2021 is another year that we have spent more time at home. Well-being and self-care are what we focused on when we designed our Home For The Holidays moodboard series this year. And at the same time, we are looking for the things that will excite and inspire us. We are so ready to explore the world again. With this in mind, we designed this living room–modern yet sophisticated, festive yet calming, glamorous yet playful. The living room features an elegant clean-lined classical sofa upholstered in an ultra-plush fabric and accented with shades of complex neutrals. It presents the essence of refinement. A pair of  timeless armchair will become the favorite seats in the house thanks to their slight incline forms and comfort of plush cloud boucle cushioning at all angles. The coffee table is an elegant combination of Koto veneer finished in Winter Wheat and Bird’s Eye maple inlay creating such a graceful statement. We mix and match one Lucite side table and one silvered and gilt verre églomisé two tier circular side table to add a touch of glam and to create the interesting and timeless decor. Luxe, ultra-soft faux fur throw in white snow leopard print together with Boucle pillows maxes out comfort. The chandler and the table lamps are just like the jewels for the room.

Holiday Showhouse of KHK Designs 2021-2022—A Modern Chic Living Room

The year of 2021 is another year that we have spent more time at home. Well-being and self-care are what we focused on when we designed our annual holiday showhouse this year. We use soothing and neutral color palettes to create a calming and soft atmosphere while adding texture to bring in warmth and coziness. The corner of this modern chic living room is the perfect spot where we cannot wait to welcome the guests, host festive cocktail parties, carry on exciting conversations or simply chill out here for a good rest in the warm afternoon sunshine. The space features a retro 1950s curvy boucle sofa, a pair of genuine taupe Tibetan sheepskin arm chairs that are sumptuously cozy and chic. The earth tones in the abstract artwork really echos the muted neutral palette of the space that is quiet and elegant. A brass chandelier highlights rounded glass shades nestled into bowls crafted from opal glass or alabaster. Alabaster is a natural material and unique variations in the veining is part of its beauty. Each alabaster bowl for Greenwich is hand-carved by artisans in Italy. We chose a modern and minimalism holiday decor style for this living room corner.

And at the same time, we are looking for the things that will excite and inspire us. We are so ready to explore the world again . With this in mind, we designed this bedroom–modern yet graceful, festive yet calming, glamorous yet playful. The bedroom features a cream leather king bed with acrylic inserts on the head frame and acrylic legs making the bed look like floating in the room. A pair of shapely bedside tables conveys modern sophistication with the Golden Shimmer and accented with a bronze mirrored top. Each side table has two drawers for essentials accented with sparkling jewelry-like pulls that add an element of chic glamour. The matching curvy modern classic dresser in a Golden Shimmer finish has 6 spacious drawers that ensure you have a place to store everything. The mirror above the dresser has an organic vibe. The settee in front of the bed has a curved wood frame and back featuring beautifully carved spindles highlighted with an Auric finish. Its upholstered seat is tailored to perfection in elegant shades of cream featuring a textured, ribbon-like stripe. Metal ferrules and knuckles add a finishing touch that conveys modern glamour. We love to adore every comer of this space with festive finishing touches like a playful Christmas-themed throw pillow on the settee, Jeff Letham’s relaxing country Sonoma wreath and jewelry-like Christmas trees in white, silver and reds.

A white oak sculptural console table sets the foundation of a delightfully contemporary look for this entry space with its natural finish and soft curves. A clean-lined bench adds a sense of tradition in a modern way while a pair of vintage pale blue jars bring in timelessness to the space. The blue-toned wallpaper with simplistic graphic flower silhouettes makes a cheerful statement on the focal wall, providing a perfect backdrop for a glam gold metal mirror and all of the festive holiday decor.

We want to design the space that is elegant and sophisticated yet has a relaxing and laid-back vibe. Crafting a fine dining experience at home has gained the popularity and much appreciated by more people in the past two years when we are spending more time at home than ever before. This holiday dining room we designed features a classical clean-lined dining table and a sideboard with hand-made brass details. The skirted linen dining chairs bring in relaxed coastal feel. We love the idea to have a chic movable bar cart standing by that serves all of the holiday goodies.

Home For Holidays Moodboard Series 2021—Modern Chic Breakfast Nook

Today, we continue to share our shoppable Home For Holidays Moodboard featuring a modern chic breakfast nook. Unlike a formal dining room, a breakfast nook is designed to be approachable and informal. It’s also an easy opportunity to embolden the kitchen while giving it a touch of refinement. The clean lines, on-trend decor, high-impact seating, artworks and lots and lots of natural light to bask in while you sip on a morning cup of coffee are all what make a breakfast nook everybody’s favorite cozy place to start a fresh day or just enjoy some quiet moments during the day. As a part of Home For Holiday Mooboard Series, we made this breakfast nook special by adding dazzling festive touches. This breakfast nook we designed features a reclaimed lumber dining table with adorable chunky round legs and art-deco-inspired mid-century modern dinging chairs  upholstered in cotton dhurrie and supported by antique brass plated legs.  A sugar white and gold Japanese-inspired pendant completes the overall look with elegance and simplicity. We stacked two rugs together to give the space depth and dimension, and of course, a pop of red that makes everybody happy and cheerful.
