5 Tips to Create an Elegant Home Office

Honestly, it does require a vision to make things happen specially you are among the chaos for a make-over project.  The office space here is not that really big and in a very old building. It does have an interesting architecture bone.  In order to keep project cost low, we just removed old wallpaper and exposed the old brick walls to keep its originality.  The result is quite amazing!  Here are the major design features:

1. A stylish office desk is located diagonally at the corner to make the space look much bigger and welcome guests. 2. Over-sized chandelier is the statement and drama and adds a touch of glamour into the office. 3. A fashionable  pink settee and purple couch contrast with the low-tone historical architecture background to create a comfortable chatting area. 4. Arts on the wall make the space very interesting and artsy. 5. Fresh flowers bring the life into the space. Who wouldn’t want to work here? Kristi http://www.khk-designs.com

When Summer is officially here, I am more attracted to everything creamy and light. For this interior project, I use white panelings as background to keep the space airy and light. The touch of gold makes it classic and upscale.  Beach  photo art we shot for this project somehow enlarges the space and makes you wonder.   The floral arrangements on the table bring feminine energy—elegant and sophisticated. For me, it is such a beautiful still life portrait. Time is frozen at this moment.

“Slow Living means structuring your life around meaning and fulfillment.  Focusing on the quality of your life. … Slow Living addresses the desire to lead a more balanced life and to pursue a more holistic sense of well-being in the fullest sense of the word.”

One of fundamental ways for the art of slow living is to live a mindful life from your kitchen.

Key design features:

1. Open space by removing wall cabinets next to the range hood.  You will be happier in a clutter-free  airy environment.

2. All-natural stone for the counter top and the backsplash. Natural materials make us feel grounded.

3. Vintage range hood for the statement and elegance—timeless beauty.

4. Having in-season fresh flowers to light up your day.

5. Yellow and purple—the colors of June—cheerful and passionate.

6. Stylish pendants over the island—inviting and intimate.

7. Grow herbs in your kitchen—it’s fun.

8. Having a steamer—healthy cooking.

“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”–Coco Chanel

This is the place that my imagination goes wild.  It is not cookie-cutter closets you see everywhere.  It is fashionable, romantic and truly personalized.  I used pastel color palette to make the space more feminie. I installed the water-color wall paper on the wall to  beautify the space and give it a life. Different storage and display solutions were applied to make it more functional and fun rather than installed cabinets everywhere.  There is  a seating area for extra comfort. The vanity display tray is so adorable and elegant.  Ladies, would’t you love to hang out in this stylish walk-in closet  over your weekend?
