We have developed an appetite for tone-on-tone neutral palettes in the past year. We firmly believe that all these neutrals help create a soothing and relaxing home—the ultimate sanctuary for most of us under the current situation. We find out that if we do it right, the tone-on-tone color scheme will make home interiors high style and timeless. The challenge is often on how to create a monochromatic home that has a depth, dimensions and warmth. We came across this urban Chicago home and fell in love with its aesthetic. Yes, it has varied shades of grays and subtle pops of jewel tones— a perfect case study for a monochromatic home that is fresh, clean, modern yet elegant and sophiticated.
The entry is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Cape May Cobblestone which sets the tone of a crisp, monochromatic palette for the rest of the home. The gray leather on the seats add textures while the dark brown wood flooring evokes a warm feeling. The brass details on the console lamp and the mirror above elevate the entry with a touch of glam. And of course, the loose floral arrangement enlivens the space. You can click here for more ideas on entry design.

Steve’s Easter Table Design Tips: I love to do a mix of classic but with a twist and to create strong visual look that tells a story. Tablescape Designed by Krayl Funch in North America
Krayl’s Easter Table Design Tips: As much as I try to plan ahead when designing my Easter table the truth is my final creation is almost always inspired by the flowers I find at the market or local garden shop. After months of cold and snow, vases and bowls filled with the scent of fresh Hyacinths, clippings of bright Forsythia and the ruffled petals of Parrot Tulips seem to guide my hand when selecting the dinner, glass and flatware to add to my table.
Krayl’s Easter Gift Idea: If I had to pick I would choose from either the Burlington Pots, Magnolia or Folia collections. They all feel truly Wedgwood with designs for modern living everyone will love.
An Easter table setting is made memorable by the china you are eating off and the accessories such as the best linen napkins and beautiful glasses. The Gio is perfect. I like to have a flower by each plate and a centrepiece of beautifully wrapped eggs to add some height and drama.
Marianne’s Easter Gift Idea: For an Easter gift I would give a Wild Strawberry tea set. It is pretty, charming and nostalgic. I feel as if I am taking tea with the queen when I use mine.
