Guys, Happy valentine’s Day! It has been raining whole day here in Los Angeles. It’s a perfect day to enjoy my little world of romance on this raining day. Yet I wish everyone out there safe and stay out of the rain.
I am still in the process to work out our spring collections in fashion, home and art. It has been a a fun journey so far. Spring is all about hope, freshness, flowers, greenery, everything beautiful in mother nature. I have been inspired by nature and by all of the new designs in 2019 everyday. For the vignette I created for Valentine’s Day, it is about all of these—fun, romantic and boho chic:

I recently attended Daltile designer event for the showcase of new tile products. I feel it is pretty amazing specially I can find the local manufactures who custom-made such fashionable and cool design tiles right here in our backyard. Here are 2 of trends I observed from the showcase:
Moroccan tile influence : Moroccan tiles are famous for its hand-made quality, its uniqueness, fun patterns and craftsmanship. People start to bring these vibes to machine-made ceramic tiles with lower cost and much-faster lead time. Here are some samples I found from the showcase:
2. Color, color, color : there will be more bold colors for tile design in 2019. I did a lot of grey tile projects in the past several years and I am open to some fashionable and bold colors.
I found coral and red at the showcase. The colors do make me feel excited:
When the sun shines through the windows, that is when magic happens. We realize it is spring time. Fresh, fashionable and feminine, this IS the theme for our Spring Story collection in fashion, home and art:
Every time when people talk about California coastal interiors, it is always kind of either white, cream or blueish color palettes with signature California lay-back vibes. But not for this one. It is located right at Corona Del Mar , So Cal and has a perfect polished modern classical style with maximalism in mind. The home is owned by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, the co-founders of the California-based cosmetics brand Too Faced. Then, I guess you expect some big wows!

Finally, the rain stops today here in Los Angeles after a whole-week wet weather. And as usual, we start to enjoy sunshine. When the sun shines through the windows, that is when magic happens. We realize it is spring time. Fresh, fashionable and feminine, this the theme for our Spring Story collection in fashion, home and art.
We are in the beginning of the year and it rains a lot. Whenever I visit a new art show wit full of colors, a boutique stores with fresh and interesting color palette, I always feel super inspired, especially at the winter season of the year. We want to see the colors to look forward to the future and stay motivated.
Maximalism design at home starts to kick in main street back several years ago. With bold and saturated colors of the year 2019 announcement from different paint companies and Pantone, I feel 2019 may be the year for Maximalism to play big.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We’d been busy traveling and making keto cookies for the holiday season and here are some memories I would love to share from our holidays. Enjoy!
Christmas and New year are offically in count-down now. Hope you are in a mood for just being festive to celebrate the end of 2018.
One thing that fascinates me about holiday is the cheerful jewel-tone color palette. I feel that most people are just too scared to use the rich jewel-tone colors on the regular days. But those colors are not just for holidays and they do make you happier and enhances your appetite. And most importantly, they are from Nature. So this rich color jewel-tone palette can actually put you at ease and remind you it is time to celebrate. I finally find the time to put together our Thanksgiving table set and will sure update this post soon. Enjoy!
