5 Way to Create an Elegant Office

mondayoffice

Hello, Monday!  The last Monday of January 2016.  Can you believe that it’s almost a full month since new year.  I hope we all still keep our new year resolutions.   No matter what we do, we all want to have a private space where we are able to recharge and can stay focus.  Here is an office  design project we did in this January. And there are 5 ways to create the space like this:

  1. Choose simple yet chic and fresh color palette. Blush, black and white are the colors for this space.  This color palette is formal yet relaxing.
  2. Have a comfortable chair that you are able to sit for a little bit longer.  And of course, good-looking too.
  3. Have a lots of natural lights.
  4. Have a big bookcase for storage and displaying some of your favorite items.
  5. Yes, fresh flowers, please.

The best way to chill out on Sunday is to prepare family brunch in a beautiful kitchen with a lot of sunshines.

4 Ways to Create an Elegant HallWay

When people do renovations and decorate their home, they always ignore the hallways and rather keep them plain and boring.  One of the important functions for hallways is to keep your guests’ eyes wander.  There are 4 steps we did to make the hallway interesting in this project:

  1. Have the floor-to-ceiling drapery on the wall with openings to make the space unified and elegant.
  2. Have a statement chair against the wall like the love seat we have here.
  3. Have a piece of art. We used a classical gold frame for this modern photography to create fresh contrast.
  4. And an eye-catching chandelier.

It’s Wednesday, the middle of the week.  Wouldn’t be nice to create a corner at home where you can chill out a little bit, recharge and keep going.  Here are 5 steps to create such a space as we just did for the client:

  1. Keep it simple.  Yes, less is more– chairs, table, long drapery and flowers.  That’s it!
  2. Choose neutral colors and have a touch of pedstals to create tranquil and pleasant atmosphere.
  3. Let sun shine in with diffused-light sheer fabric.
  4. From- the- floor- to- ceiling draper is the best way to make the space feel relaxing yet elegant.
  5. Yes, fresh flowers please.

#TuesdayTransformation again!   Here are 5 steps we did to make this entry look traditionally formal yet chic, modern and relaxing:

  1. Keep all of the original panelings and paint them in glossy black to unify with the black checkered floor.
  2. Choose modern classic furnishings—traditional furnishings with clean lines.
  3. Use jewel-tones on the chandelier and objects to brighten the space.
  4. Have the striped-pattern wall scones to echo with the checkered floor.  The geometric patterns make the space very cool and modern.
  5. Fresh flowers make the space alive.
