We have just designed a series of New Year LookBook rooms based on our design projects, best sellers in 2021 and trend studies for 2022. There are some trends in 2021 that will continue going strong in 2022–like all curved, sculptural shapes & forms and the artful mixing-and-matching of different eras and styles. People still lean to the soothing and quiet color palettes with subtle pops of color. In today’s blog, we share our design of New Year LookBook 2022—the corner of a modern elegant bedroom.Continue reading
Today, we continue to share our shoppable Home For Holidays Moodboard featuring a modern chic living room. The year of 2021 is another year that we have spent more time at home. Well-being and self-care are what we focused on when we designed our Home For The Holidays moodboard series this year. And at the same time, we are looking for the things that will excite and inspire us. We are so ready to explore the world again. With this in mind, we designed this living room–modern yet sophisticated, festive yet calming, glamorous yet playful. The living room features an elegant clean-lined classical sofa upholstered in an ultra-plush fabric and accented with shades of complex neutrals. It presents the essence of refinement. A pair of timeless armchair will become the favorite seats in the house thanks to their slight incline forms and comfort of plush cloud boucle cushioning at all angles. The coffee table is an elegant combination of Koto veneer finished in Winter Wheat and Bird’s Eye maple inlay creating such a graceful statement. We mix and match one Lucite side table and one silvered and gilt verre églomisé two tier circular side table to add a touch of glam and to create the interesting and timeless decor. Luxe, ultra-soft faux fur throw in white snow leopard print together with Boucle pillows maxes out comfort. The chandler and the table lamps are just like the jewels for the room.Continue reading
We have actually developed an appetite for the tonal neutral interiors as we have been going through the whole pandemic thing since last year, particularly those interiors with a lot of natural light. Those homes are truly heavenly sanctuaries that allow us to wind down, relax and rejuvenate. So, when we came across landscaping architect Perry Guillot’s Southampton escape on AD, we feel the similar verve and fell in love with this serene escape–a playhouse with a garden that is inspired by nothing short of cosmos and has tonal white stucco walls. Guillot is known for the artfully restrained gardens he has created for such clients as Tory Burch, Aerin Lauder, and Reed and Delphine Krakoff.
The clipped hollies embrace the main entrance of the playhouse. It looks like the sky is on the earth.
We love how the lush textured sprawling plants contrast with the clean-lined white house.Continue reading
The neutrals never go out of style. They not only create a calming and soothing home, but also can serve as a sophiticated backdrop for one-of-the-kind artworks and stylish furnishings that reflect who yo are and tell your own stories . Artist Josh Yöung’s Chicago home is such a example.

The neutral color palette in the residential design will still dominate the year of 2021. We are drawn to the soothing and calming neutral color palette in this newly renovated San Francisco home which provides a perfect backdrop to showcase the breathtaking lush views outside of the window. The attention to detail, the contour touches, the well-made custom furnishings and the artwork collections truly help elevate this Francisco home in an understated way.
The first thing we are attracted to a home often is its color palette, something that pleases our eye. Then, what makes us pause and start to really study each space is how it is layered up by leveraging texture, lighting, shadow,..etc. It is in the middle of the week , we would like to give you a tour to a seaside Connecticut retreat with a relaxing meditation room and soothing spa. Here are our favorites.
It is not always true that the way you dress is the way you decorate your home. Sometimes, it can be quite opposite. Joan Smalls’s recent beachy makeover on her Miami makeover is just such a great example. Totally different from her glamorous fashion style, her home is understated, calming, grounded and relaxing thanks to a lot of earthy tones and organic materials used in the house.
