We all have longed for a global travel for a quite while. Since it seems impossible to travel globally for most of us, let’s browse the internet for some cool new design. Today we are going to take a look at a new restaurant in Paris— Mon Square. It’s chic, cute, colorful and use quite a lot of pink. The restaurant has begun to pull in a lively crowd of film stars, politicians, diplomats, neighborhood regulars, and young and trendy Parisians. It is French designer Florence Lopez‘s first public work. We definitely love her approach to make the restaurant inviting, soft, welcome and intimate –kind of the approach when we design residential projects.

Pink is a pale shade of red that is named after a flower of the same name. It was first used as a color name in the late 17th century. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity and romance.
And today, pink has became a new neutral thanks to its versatility and multi-dimensional shades. Benjamin Moore’s 2020 Color of the Year, First Light 2102-70, is a soft, rosy pink hue.
The weekend hiking is always such a get-away for us particularly after we had hiked and camped so long in our backyard during this pandemic crisis. Well, it is also good to see people start to appreciate more nature and really focus on their well being. We have never seen the trails are packed with so many crowds before by the beaches, in the mountains and deep in the forests and parks. We human beings always feel good when we are close to nature. And we often find stunning colors and scenery that make us super excited when we explore nature.

We have a tradition for every New Year’s Day. Yes, we will go to beach to enjoy some sunshine , to be close to the ocean to feel its abundance and greatness. Ocean has a magic power that always calm us and show us there are actually tremendous opportunities and hopes out there in the world. And the most important thing ocean teaches us is to be kind, generous and tolenrant from those who are different from you.
Toast to 2020!
It’s a beautiful day!
The view on the patio is stunning.
I really enjoy this warm beach day.
Yes, we are in famous Japanese Nobu restaurant in Malibu.
Malibu is a city west of Los Angeles, California. It’s known for its celebrity homes and beaches, including wide and sandy Zuma Beach. To the east is Malibu Lagoon State Beach, known as Surfrider Beach for its waves. Nearby is the Spanish Revival–style Adamson House decorated with historical California hand-made tiles. Malibu is such a lovely beach town in SoCal with pretty relaxing vibes. Our trip this time is to visit Nobu, relax at its breath-taking beach-view porch, take a walk on the pier and just stroll around the town.

Nobu, Malibu is Iron Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Japanese delicacies, plus California fare, in a modern, beachfront space. “Originally opening in the Malibu Country Mart in 1999 as the fourth Nobu location in the United States, Nobu Malibu moved to it’s current location in 2012. The views of the ocean from nearly every seat in the restaurant, as well as Malibu-specific specialty dishes in addition to all of the Nobu classics, make this a destination dining experience not to be missed.” We have been too Nobu restaurant and hotel in Las Vegas. I will say Nobu Malibu has more relaxing beach get-away vibes while the Las Vegas one gears more toward high-caliber clubbing experiences. Each restaurant has their specialities. But one dish we like from both locations is Black Cod Miso. You’ve got to order it if you have a chance to visit.

Known for its five-star cuisine and decadent Japanese-inspired interiors, you’re likely to spot a Kardashian at this California go-to. The LA-based sushi bar is such a celebrity staple, it’s even name-dropped in three Drake songs and a Kanye track. That said, the opening of their luxury hotel Nobu Ryokan Malibu is bound to attract a star-studded guest list. We didn’t get a chance to visit the hotel this time since it is guests-only(maybe next time). But I found an article from Elle Decor talking about this newly opened 5-star hotel.
Overlooking Carbon Beach along the Pacific Coast Highway, the lodge draws from the area’s laidback California style while boasting Nobu’s signature Japanese design. The building’s original structure was a 1950’s beach motel, which architects Studio PCH and Montalba Architects have dramatically transformed. Each guest room has its own unique interior design, all incorporating teak, bronze, and limestone to maintain a calming neutral color palette throughout. Couple of days ago, i wrote about Lee Radzwill’s (March 3rd 1933–Feb. 15th 2019)New York apartment. You can click here to read the story. Lee Radzwill is a former European princess and actress, socialite, interior decorator, sister of the late Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (1994). She owned properties in New York, London and Paris. Each home really reflects her personalities as a style icon. Today, I am going to show you her Paris pied-à-terre, her love at first sight. Overlooking Avenue Montaigne with a view of the Eiffel Tower, the home was originally decorated by Christian Liaigre, it is perhaps one of the most iconic Parisian abodes of the 20th century. Her Paris home was featured three times on magazines, Vogue in 2003, ELLE Decor in 2009 and Times in 2013 and it had being evolved each time.

We can see the style in her Paris apartment is very different from her New York home. As herself said of her New York apartment :” but it’s extremely full. So it’s wonderful to have the contrast [in Paris] of having it totally Zen, totally peaceful. In what other city do you find doves outside your window…” All of the furniture in her Paris home is clean-lined, yet there are gilded antique mirrors, gilded coffee tables, floral upholstery ,tons of artworks and books and a lot of detailed soft touches. Her interiors are just like the way she dressed—modern , elegant and chic, yes American chic.
Elle Decor 2013. Don’t you love these chinoiserie patterned fabric? This is her favorite Chinoiserie Le Manach fabric which brings the soul, feminity and elegance to the room. This is the real-estate photo when the house was put on sale several years ago.Another real-estate photo when the house was put on sale several years ago.Obviously, pink is her favorite color. With a large amount of creams and whites in the back ground, mixed patterns of stripes, chinoiserie played off with pink on the sofa.. It is just such an elegant and peaceful place you want to wind down.Again, pink, stripe pattern, plant artworks, florals, neutrals for the background and the sunshines… I would love to just sit here for the whole day watching doves flying by.Chic, chic, chic…A true style icon.
For some weired reason, I always have a mood for color of pink on Wednesday. What about you? What is your mood color on Wednesday? From hot pink, blush to muted pastel, pink always evokes feeling of romance, dream, elegance, feminism, sophistication and sweetness.

Nicole Kidman arrived Emmy Awards last Sunday in a a Calvin Klein By Appointment grenadine silk gazar pleated bodice dress by Raf Simons. The gown was paired with Calvin Klein 205W39NYC pink satin sandals with asymmetrical crystal straps. She looked absolutely elegant and stunning in color of red. Red is the color of energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. When paired with pink, red create warmth, vibration, excitement and romance in both fashion and interiors . It’s intriging, elegant, fashionable, ladylike and timeless.
