Today, we are going to talk about one more important factor that will affect how we feel at home—the scent. We often say Stop to Smell Roses. The sweet and fresh scent of those fresh roses often relaxes us and puts a big smile on our face in a second—that is the magical power of the natural fragrance. Throughout history, fragrance has been used as a way to delight the senses. Some of the first known uses of fragrances date back to the times of the ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians began incorporating fragrances and natural plants into ointments and other medical aids. The use of these fragrances and oils for medicinal purposes was the beginning of aromatherapy. We now use scented candles, herbs, plants and flowers and diffuser to make our home smell great, not just for reducing nasty smells, helping clean the air of unwanted smells, but for improving our well being as aromatherapy.
