we know that a beautiful tabletop always makes any event so sweet, memorable and vibrant, not even mentioning prestigious academy events like Golden Globe. The design of the tabletop at 77th Golden Globe is chic, modern with a touch of signature Hollywood glamor—roses and Champaign.
The all-white dinner set choice, for sure, keeps all of the possible chaoes and fusses into the minimum while providing calming and clean backdrop for the beautifully arranged two-tone rose centerpieces, also, I believe, the smiles of the star guests.
Well, Beyonce’s gown really looks good with those bright orange and yellow roses.
Celebrity florist Mark’s Garden is behind the floral designs for this year’s show, and the California-based business flew in more than 10,000 blooms from Ecuador and Italy for the ceremony. The flowers, which have vibrant orange and yellow hues, add a pop of color to the dozens of tables inside the ballroom.
So, learning lesson here to set up a beautiful tabletop in a crowded and busy moment is with a simple table setting. Plus, it is the beginning of the year, you probably want to refresh your table with a minimal effort. White is the easiest color to style – its classic, calm and never goes out of fashion. That’s why every stylish table needs a crisp white tableware collection that’s highly versatile.

Guys, happy 2020! We kicked off our new year day of 2020 yesterday by a Mimosa toast brunch at home. I love color palette of pink, yellow, green and red, they are fresh, cheerful and chic—a great color scheme to start 2020.
Hope your new year celebration is wonderful too. Just to sum up , there are 3 ways to put up an elegant yet casual tabletop for any events table-tops if you would like those events to be memorable:
Always study cool and trendy receips and create your own based on your own taste and color references.
Always use what you have around you. In our case, we have various greenery and camilier blooms in our backyard at this season.
Last but not the least is to grow your own drink-ware or dinnerware collections over the years since they really make the whole tabletop shine and give you a wonderful moment to enjoy. When you grow your own collections(and they can be from your mother-in-law or your grandma or you explore them from the flea market), you develop eye for elegant table-tops and can really enjoy the fun to mix-and-match.
It’s middle of the week again. I hope you are all doing very well. I have couple of design projects going on simultaneously. I feel a little bit overwhelming and look for some inspiration to just keep myself going. I started to organize the photos for the events I have been to recently. I found something that really lights up my day—yes, a beautiful tabletop. I guess color and fresh flowers always stimulate my brain to release more endorphin and make me feel happy. I hope you feel the same way too.
Chinese New Year is going to be Feb 16th. And we are brainstorming a special tabletop for both V day and Chinese New Year celebration. It’s going to a very feminine, romantic yet a cheerful color-palette theme incorporating Pantone Ultra Violet, vintage pink, some chinoiserie components. And of course a lot of fresh roses. Please stay tuned with us.
It’s fun, fun, fun to host our own Sunday brunch at home because we can control what we put in the mouth and specially, it’s the beginning of the summer time and the weather is so nice. What we do have a lot now are floras and greeneries. Peonies are in the season in LA. So there is no reason not to go big on greenery and floral table decor. But I rather do them in a very organic and simple way. Here is the video we shot for one of our weekend brunch tabletop.
I hope you enjoy watching the video. Here are 3 take-aways for an elegant yet casual tabletop setting:
Have a lot of greeneries accentuated by in-season flowers.
Have a main color theme for the table-setting—we used blue-and-white in the video—the perfect color palette to celebrate the beginning of the summer.
Just schedule time to do it over the weekend. You are going to enjoy it a lot!
After spending 3 days on the road, I really just love to chill out at home. A cozy banquette, a table with flower print table cloth, an armed Louis XVI chair, Chinoiserie vases and tea pot… Isn’t this room adorable? Yes, pillows and a lots of natural lights make it even better. What is your Friday plan?
