A Beautiful tabletop in Sun-filled Room

Finally, rain stops and sun is out. And most importantly, the weather is finally getting warm up to 70 degree in Los Angeles. I know it has been a weird cold for a very long time since last Nov.  I think I prefer the warmer weather with a lot sunshines. Who wouldn’t?

Well, it is March and spring is just around the corner and Easter is coming soon. I just cannot wait to put up a beautiful outdoor tabletop for entertaining with some fresh color palettes and romantic components.  What about you?

So, I decided to go through some photos and videos from the events we  have been to recently for inspiration.  Then I found this video I shot—I wish I could have done it better.  Maybe next time.  But the whole set-up, organic components, the sun-lights, crystals and yummy cookies in pastel colors and of course fresh flower pedals really talk to me.   I love how they have a large wood branch as a center piece with elegant crystal sculptures scattering  around.  The contrast between organic elements and high-polished items creates such a beautiful , moody,  refined yet relaxed and casual atmosphere.  And fresh flower pedals all over the table are just such a romantic touch. It’s a dream afternoon.

Art of Entertaining

Chinese New Year is going to be Feb 16th.  And we are brainstorming a special tabletop for both V day and Chinese New Year celebration.  It’s going to a very feminine, romantic yet a cheerful color-palette theme incorporating Pantone Ultra Violet, vintage pink, some chinoiserie components.  And of course a lot of fresh roses.  Please stay tuned with us.

Casual Friday

After spending 3 days on the road, I really just love to chill out at home.  A cozy banquette, a table with flower print table cloth, an armed Louis XVI chair, Chinoiserie vases and tea pot…  Isn’t this room adorable?   Yes, pillows and a lots of natural lights make it even better.  What is your Friday plan?

One of the most joyful things to do in summer is to chill out by the pool. Here are 5 tips to make the experience even better:

1. Bring indoor out to create ease yet elegant sensibility.

2. Have the pop of the colors to cheer you up.

3. Build  an outdoor kitchen or bar to entertain your guests in grand or humble.

4. Set seatings in groups to create intimacy.

5. Create stylish table vignettes your guests can appreciate and talk about.
