Guys, happy 2020! We kicked off our new year day of 2020 yesterday by a Mimosa toast brunch at home. I love color palette of pink, yellow, green and red, they are fresh, cheerful and chic—a great color scheme to start 2020.
Hope your new year celebration is wonderful too. Just to sum up , there are 3 ways to put up an elegant yet casual tabletop for any events table-tops if you would like those events to be memorable:
Always study cool and trendy receips and create your own based on your own taste and color references.
Always use what you have around you. In our case, we have various greenery and camilier blooms in our backyard at this season.
Last but not the least is to grow your own drink-ware or dinnerware collections over the years since they really make the whole tabletop shine and give you a wonderful moment to enjoy. When you grow your own collections(and they can be from your mother-in-law or your grandma or you explore them from the flea market), you develop eye for elegant table-tops and can really enjoy the fun to mix-and-match.
Hi, guys, happy Boxing Day. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day. In US, we are back to work today and in UK, I guess your guys may have a crazy shopping day today just like the way we are on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. I did both and quite understand that hectic shopping experiences. If the physical shopping is not your thing( I know some of you may really enjoy that), I have something quite special for you today. But first thing first, I would love to show your our Christmas table because tabletop setting is always one of my favorites to do during the holidays. I just purely love all of the creative processes.
The flowers and greenery for our Christmas tabletop—yes, they are garden-fresh and are all from our backyard. I used Juniper branches, lemons, lemon leaves, camellias, red Christmas berries. They really help make such a lush and festive centerpiece for our Christmas tabletop. I love fresh real plants, branches and flowers. The natural smell always make me feel we are hosting a party in an outdoor wonderland.
2. Vintage plates. It is quite special to use some vintage plates on Christmas day to show off our special dishes. I always appreciate the details on those vintage pieces.
3. We’ve got some special drinks in stunning crystal cocktail glasses for this year’s Christmas–keto egg-nog

Inspired by Pantone color of the year 2020—Classic Blue, we would like to featured this dark blue shade on our holiday table-top. Opposite to the traditional green and red color palette, the blue color palette does deliver a super chic festive feel. And Waterford’s crystal glasses add a touch of glamor to the table. Meanwhile nutcrackers in navy blue and white uniforms talk to blue on Wedgwood’s fancy dinnerwares and Waterford’s dazlling blue holiday wine glasses. Hi, guys, 4th July is just around the corner, what is your biggest plan for the day? Chill out by the beach, host a backyard BBQ summer party, join a local parade or go on for a solo trip? No matter what you do, it’s time to celebrate since we all work hard and deserve a little summer break. In order to put you in mood for celebration, we choose some pretty patriotic color–scheme interiors, trust us, it is not your grandma’s home. All of the design we choose here has used hottest color trends in 2019. So just sit back and relax with a cup of coffee/kabucha tea or a glass of wine.
Well, with color of red, we know the theme is going to be cheerful and all shades of blue really go strong in 2019 and beyond.
2. Incorporating Living coral instead red with navy blue or cobalt blue guarantee your home look upscaled and fashionable.
3. If you are not a big fan of red or coral or orange, you can just use those colors as little doses as you want.
It’s middle of the week again. I hope you are all doing very well. I have couple of design projects going on simultaneously. I feel a little bit overwhelming and look for some inspiration to just keep myself going. I started to organize the photos for the events I have been to recently. I found something that really lights up my day—yes, a beautiful tabletop. I guess color and fresh flowers always stimulate my brain to release more endorphin and make me feel happy. I hope you feel the same way too.
Hope you celebrated green and had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day yesterday. We always love St. Patrick’s day not because it’s fun and cool, also because it is usually the time for us to kick off the season of Spring entertaining. Specially after the several times of raining showers, everything in our garden just starts blooming. So, of course, inspired by the warm and clear sunshine and beautiful blooms in our garden, we decided to have a causal in-home celebration by cooking comfy Irish beef stew and put up an organic spring-theme tabletop to enjoy. You may want to do the same thing too, but may be just intimated by the complicated task and think maybe the other time. Well, life is about celebrating every moment. We are celebrating by doing and engaging as much as we can. Therefore, it is much more fun for memories and does excise your creative muscles a lot. But there are some simple ways to make in-home entertaining much less a daunted task. Here are 7 tips we would love to share to make spring entertaining fun, simps and stylish.
Just go to the outdoor and go to your backyard garden. You will be inspired by nature a lot and make you desire to bring nature to home. Since our garden is blooming, we just got everything from the garden—grass, roses, wild flowers, branches, herbs…
2. Please don’t wrap up your fine china and put them away at somewhere you even cannot find. Yes, please display your chinaware at the place you can easily see. Therefore, you always want to use them.
3. Plan, plan, plan. Write down the theme and food you would like to serve. For St. Patrick’s day table top, we wanted to celebrate the season of spring, so we had a lot of green-leaf veggies and in-season colorful root veggies. The next is to prepare the menu. For ours menu is mainly Irish beef stew with some green veggie cakes and green-leaf salad. We actually cooked the beef stew a night before in a slower cooker.
4. Well, just sit back and enjoy.
5. Take time to take the photos for what you just do and you will be inspired to host next party.
