Happy Weekend
This Saturday we hiked on Paseo Miramar Trail. Althiough it is said the trail is moderate difficult. Considering the high temperature, it is not really that easy. Parker Mesa Overlook offers panoramic views of Santa Monica Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The coastline spans from Palos Verdes to Malibu, with nothing but blue in between.
Continue readingSometimes, the best plan comes out of no plan. We planned another hiking trail in San Gabriel valley today and it was closed today. So we went to nearby Santa Fe Dam. We are not really keen for this area. Every time, we passed by on 605 Freeway, we always saw those hard-core cyclists riding by and they kind of beat down by the sun all the time since there are no trees and no any shades at all. But it turned out the other side of the dam is such a heaven.
We started 4th of July celebration by hiking in the deep mountain in our neighborhood. And it’s fun to see all sorts of wild lives–squirrels, birds, rabbits, snake… Yes, that is a little bit scary. But overall we had a wonderful experience.
As you know, we had a little get-away in Historic State Park and China Down yesterday. We actually also had a quick drive-through in DTLA at the end of the day. After all, it has been more than three months we haven’t been there thanks to the pandemic lock-down. Here is a quick video we put together.
Happy Mother’s Day. We tried backyard picnic, backyard cocktails, backyard BBQ and ShabyShabu. So for this Mother’s Day weekends, we decided to try something special and different— charcuterie boards paired with some wines. That way, we could really slow down, chill out and enjoy every small bite.
Probably at this strange time, the best getaway for some of us is a beautifully landscaped home garden. I came across some stunning home gardens when I browsed internet today and would love to share 9 of them that we fall in love with.
We love to see how lemon trees, olive trees, agave, other greenery and flowers add texture and color in these gardens.
One of the things we are trying to do now is to find a little bit joy in every special moment. Here are things we are doing today from our morning workout, backyard garden, flower tea making, home-made cocktails, shabushabu and etc… . And this is live blog. So please come back for update.
Morning Workout
It is truly a time for us to double down our wellness to boost our immunity, metal health and fitness. And we feel it is also important to have a routine workout despite all of public gyms are closed.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. As usual, we hosted another backyard cocktails last weekend. But this time is for Easter. And yes, we had some eggs which we dyed them naturally by using blueberries and beets. Instead the bright typical Easter colors, we want sort of organic vibes.
Hope you are enjoying your weekends. For us, we continue our backyard cocktail party in a little different style than last weekend. You can click here and see how we chilled out last weekend.
We had a big table setup this weekend since the grass was a little bit wet and we didn’t do a picnic style like last weekend. We used a lot of backyard greenery cuts, garden roses and we set our table right by a blooming tree since that can be really romantic. So take a look below.
